With climate change being one of the major concerns the Earth is currently facing, we need to proactively take part in activities that can help reduce our carbon footprint.
As part of the commercial sector, hotels are one of the main consumers of energy. For a 100-room hotel in the United States, it spends an average of $220,000(USD) per room per year just for electricity. In 2018, it’s been recorded that there are about 16.97 million hotel rooms globally – just imagine the amount of energy consumed in a year just by this sector alone! For that reason, SensorFlow decided that hotels and serviced apartments should be the first sector we work with.
Our CEO and co-founder, Saikrishnan, was featured on Channel News Asia’s mini-series “On The Red Dot” as one of the young change-makers in Singapore who strive towards reducing climate change. You can watch Saikrishnan’s segment on the mini-series, HERE.
