PANEL TALK RECAP:
Sustainability leaders in the hospitality industry came together to share their insights and opinions about the importance of sustainability during COVID

That’s a wrap for our panel talk on sustainability!

Our CEO and Co-Founder, Saikrishnan Ranganathan, hosted and moderated the panel talk on Friday, February 19th, 2021 at 5.30 PM (Singapore time) with hospitality sustainability leaders in the hospitality industry.

They shared their opinions and insights on how hotels are reacting to implementing sustainable solutions and practices, and what being sustainable means. We’ve learned that sustainability is more than just about going green but it also includes, thinking for the community, and the long-term progression of the business.

It was an extremely lively and interactive panel talk with lots of interesting questions and sharing of information amongst the audience.

In case you’ve missed the live panel talk, we’ve recorded it for you.

The sustainability leaders in our panel talk:

I have a personal connection with sustainable living and I want hotels to think of sustainability not just as a marketing opportunity but also as a lifestyle. Talking about sustainability is something we can share amongst hoteliers because we should take charge in leading the way for a better world.

There is no “going back”. I believe the way forward for hotels must be transparent, sustainable, minimising waste, and optimising our use of resources and impact on the environment. This is what our customers expect and must be our new minimum standard.

Sustainability shouldn’t just be about CSR programs or green initiatives. We need to think about how these implementations can be profitable for the hotel. Everything should lead back to having a sustainable business. It’s as simple as that.
